Changing your reverse osmosis filters regularly is vital to keeping your water filtration system working well and your water clean. Not replacing the filters will reduce the effectiveness of the filter and lower the quality of the water.
- Enercare rental customers will receive new filters shipped to them annually.
- If you have purchased your equipment from Enercare, you can order replacement filters by calling 1-855-642-8607.
- Any equipment purchased or rented from Enercare should only use filters from Enercare. All our filters are top quality and from a Canadian company.
You can easily change the filters yourself. Instructions are included with the filters, but we’ve also listed some additional information below:

The 5-stage reverse osmosis system removes harmful bacteria, chemicals, and metals using a 5-stage process.

- You can easily change the filters yourself. Instructions are included with the filters.
- Yes, ensure to close the water supply valve leading to your RO system.
- To remove the first three filters located at the bottom of the unit, you will need the 10-inch wrench that was provided when your unit was installed. You will also need a set of pliers to grip the RO filter and remove it from its casing, and a bowl to place under your unit to catch any water that may still leak out when changing the filters.
- The wrench needed to replace the filter is a 10-inch reverse osmosis wrench that can be purchased through an online retailer.
- All filters are clearly labeled for easy identification.

- The filter should be flushed with water for approximately 15 minutes to remove any dust that may be lingering within the filter.

Frequently Asked Questions for Tankless Reverse Osmosis Filter Replacement
- Reverse Osmosis Filter – reduces total dissolved solids, chemicals, and heavy metals.
- Pre-Filter – reduces dirt, sand, and other suspended solids.
- There are two versions of the tankless RO system, and you can use the below images to distinguish between the two. Otherwise, the unit can be identified by where the filters are accessed. If the filters are accessed through the top of the unit, then it is the v1 model. If the filters are accessed through the front panel, then the tankless system is the v2 model,
- The tankless RO system comes with the option of switching out the pre-filter with an alkaline filter to provide alkaline water (water with a pH between 8-9). This comes at an additional cost and should be replaced annually. These can be ordered by calling us at 1-855-642-8607.
- For the tankless RO system, no tools are required to replace the filters.
- Each filter will have both an Enercare sticker indicating which filter it is, as well as the name of the filter on the twist handle. From there, simply identify which is the identical filter in the unit and replace the filter.

- The metal cover uses magnets to hold it in place and should require minimal effort to remove. If the cover is stuck and cannot be easily removed contact an Enercare specialist at 1-855-642-8607 to help diagnose why the cover may be stuck.
