Three Types of Boilers

  • The average price of a typical new natural gas or propane high-efficiency boiler in Ontario starts at $6,500. This includes standard installation from a fully insured and licensed company (including all licenses) and a one-year warranty.

  • The lifespan of a boiler is typically between 13 and 17 years, but age is only one factor to consider in making your decision to replace it. Other reasons include safety, how frequently it breaks down, the quality of installation and improper sizing.

  • With regular maintenance, a boiler can last up to 15 years. Age is the first reason to consider a replacement. Other things to consider are repair costs, efficiency ratings, malfunctioning equipment, leaks, or bad smells.

  • Every home is unique and a number of factors impact the boiler size needed, including the size and age of your home, how many windows your home has, insulation, and specific homeowner requirements.
