Enercare is moving to direct billing

Important information for Enercare customers currently billed through Enbridge Gas: Register for My Account to manage your services, billing preferences and payments and to schedule service appointments online.

Between April and October of this year, you’ll start receiving a bill directly from Enercare

Enbridge Gas is ending its billing service for participating companies this year. Until now, your Enercare charges were included on your Enbridge Gas bill under the “Charges from Other Companies” section. However, your Enercare services will soon be directly billed by us.

If you already receive a bill from Enercare directly, you will not be impacted by this billing change.

How can I validate the authenticity of Enercare communications?

  • As part of the migration to direct billing:
      • Emails: You will receive e-mails from Enercare [email protected]
      • Text messages/SMS: You will receive messages from shortcode 247365
      • My Account: When you go to My Account (myaccount.enercare.ca) via a link from our e-mail communications or QR code in our letter mail, this will direct you to our portal which will show as this URL: https://cxselfserveprd.b2clogin.com/
      • Getting in touch: To help serve you better, we have a few ways to get in touch. Phone numbers listed in our communications are 1-855-832-9206, 1-855-836-6602 and 1-855-642-8607.

  • Please add Enercare to your safe senders list. Emails from Enercare come from @enercare.ca, @info.enercare.ca, @billing.enercare.ca, @prepaiddigitalsolutions.com or @contractor-email.com addresses.

    We’ve provided answers to some common questions about Enercare’s billing change. You’ll also get an email with more details closer to your first bill. If you don’t already have an email address on file with us, call 1-855-832-9206 to update your contact information.

    My Account FAQs

    • If you don’t yet have an account, head to My Account then click “Register now” where you can log in with your Enercare account number or customer details. Fill out the required fields to set up your account.
    • Log in to My Account. Then click the Billing icon in the top menu bar. You’ll be directed to the Billing overview page. From there, select Manage Billing Preferences. Then opt in for paperless billing by simply clicking the button to the right. Help reduce waste with convenient paperless billing. Get bills emailed to your inbox each month. Plus, save on a paper invoice fee of $1.25.
    • Log in to My Account. Then click the Billing icon in the top menu bar. You’ll be directed to the Billing overview page. From there, select Pre-authorized payments. Follow the prompts to add your payment details, such as credit card information or bank account details. After adding your payment method, simply click the button to the right to opt in.
    • There are 4 ways to pay your bill.
      1. You can pay your bill or set up pre-authorized payments at myaccount.enercare.ca.
      2. Set up Enercare Home Services as a payee online using your 12-digit account number
      3. Credit card by phone: 1-855-642-8607
      4. Mail a cheque to Enercare Home Services, C/O T46600 P.O. Box 4660, STN, A, Toronto

      General FAQs

      • Your current Enercare services are billed through Enbridge Gas, and appear on your bill under the “Charges from Other Companies” section. After moving to direct billing with Enercare, you will receive a monthly bill from us instead of Enbridge Gas for your Enercare charges. This means your charges will be payable directly to Enercare through our standard payment options. The new Enercare bill will be issued to the same billing contact currently listed on your Enbridge Gas bill.
      • We will be moving customers to direct billing throughout 2024. Any customer impacted by this change will receive advanced notice from us with enough time to ensure the process is as smooth as possible. If you have not received any communications from us about billing, please continue to pay your Enercare charges through Enbridge Gas, as you do today.
      • We are working closely with Enbridge Gas to ensure a smooth billing change. There’s nothing you need to do right now for this billing change; however, we will be communicating to customers through email and mail with more details throughout 2024. If you don’t already have an email address on file with us, we recommend you call to update your contact information: 1-866-836-9854.
      • Past charges that have been billed through Enbridge Gas will remain payable to Enbridge Gas, and any collection activity should be handled with them. After your account’s billing change takes effect, new monthly charges for your Enercare services will be billed through, and payable to, Enercare.
      • In this case, it’s best to call us at 1-866-836-9854. Our dedicated billing transition team is available Monday through Friday, 8AM to 8PM.
      • When the time comes for you to move, you’ll need to follow the existing move-out process to transfer or cancel your Enercare services. If you have a Protection Plan with us, the Plan will move with you, subject to the Plan terms and conditions. Learn more about the move-out process here.

        Information for commercial account holders

        • All customers will be moved to direct billing with Enercare, including commercial customers.

          Your current Enercare services are billed through Enbridge Gas, and appear on your bill under the “Charges from Other Companies” section. After moving to direct billing with Enercare, you will receive a monthly bill from us instead of Enbridge Gas for your Enercare charges. This means your charges will be payable directly to Enercare through our standard payment options. The new Enercare bill will be issued to the same billing contact currently listed on your Enbridge Gas bill.

          Information for property managers

          • All customers will be moved to direct billing with Enercare, including property management account holders and residents. After your billing transition date, your Enercare services that are billed through the Enbridge Gas bill, under the ‘Charges from Other Companies’ section, will be charged through an Enercare bill instead. The new Enercare bill will be issued to the same billing contact as your Enbridge Gas bill. These charges will be payable to Enercare with our standard payment options.
